Our nest boxes offer the ability to mount egg collection trays on either the front or rear side of the nest.
Hinged Back
Access nest box from outside your coop: collect eggs, exclude hens, lift roost bar, and latch optional AutoRoost.
Extended Pad - (NXT V5.2)
All HenGear nest boxes include a brown pad that extends fully into the collecting area, ensuring eggs are kept safe and clean, compared to wire floor designs.
Roost Bar
To keep your nest pad clean, the roost bar can be raised to exclude hens from the box after the eggs have been collected, thus preventing manure build-up from hens sleeping in the box overnight.
Tray Curtain
Our exclusive black curtain provides a barrier between the collection tray and nesting area, safeguarding eggs from determined egg-eating hens.
Privacy Curtain

I have been seeing ads for these nest boxes for a couple of years... I thought they were too expensive and couldn't really make that much of a difference... after getting only 12-15 eggs from 30+ hens, I did the math.... if they are really eating 6-12 eggs a day, I could pay it off in 10-12 weeks. we bought our 1st Hengear next box and we're getting 20-26 eggs a day. Our ladies were eating all our profits! We have not had to do anything to entice our girls to use the new box. They took to it immediately. we have now put 7 boxes in place. This one in the video is with our newest young ladies and they are using it without hesitation. Thank you Hengear for making such a quality, American made product.
I haven’t had a cracked egg since I set it up. Was averaging3/5 chipped/ broke/consumed eggs a day. It’s been two weeks all eggs are clean and no breaks!

Had to move my flock recently so decided to use the hengear nest box. Most my birds figured it out within a couple of days. Eggs are definitely cleaner and no breakage anymore.

We are SO happy that we decided to purchase!! We had been struggling with filthy eggs for a while and had gone back and forth about making the investment into the HenGear Roll-out Nest Box and it was an INSTANT game changer. We thought our hens might take a little while to go in there and lay but by the next day after putting it in the run, we already had eggs in there and they were spotless! It took the girls a little while to get used to it because they laid in a bed of straw before. They are now laying in it after I put straw in the hen house part and they now like it. The eggs are clean and it is awesome! Thanks for a great product.

I go out of my way to buy products made in the USA so this was enough to convince me to buy HenGear instead of a chi-com temu product.
Assembly was easier than an IKEA flowerpot.
Quality of the product is great.

Finally got it put together, it was a little tough. I did watch the video and then fast forward to the rear opening. The top two screws were next to impossible. I ended up using a magnet to hold a screw and put it in backwards. It's not gonna hurt anything haven't installed it yet because I need help doing that hopefully within a week, but the product is very heavy and very sturdy and I think it will work out wonderfully.

The hens took to it immediately, laying an egg in it within the hour. The instructions are informative and easy to follow. The edges of the metal sheets are a bit rough so I recommend wearing a light work glove when handling them. Excellent nesting box, I hope to buy another soon.

I bought two of these but only put one together for the time being. I won’t need the other one until late summer/early fall.
I used the video to construct the box.
I am in a wheel chair and my hands don’t work the best. I was able to assemble most of the box but my son in law was there to help. Those two screws on the top back I just could have never done.
I also couldn’t stand up to put the top on.
I think these boxes are great. Total here on the property, we have two now in use and another for when we expand our flock.

I really like our new HenGear nest box. We have 25 hens in the pen/coop with it and they all seem to be using it. This was a new flock that was just starting to lay and I have only found 2 eggs on the floor - and that was right at the beginning. I really like that the eggs are CLEAN and can go straight into their cartons. I plan to purchase another HenGear nest box this summer after our new coop is built. I wish I had found this sooner.

I have a few different coops and about 65 various breeds of chickens. I had wooden laying boxes which just get destroyed from chicken droppings, being roosted on, etc....these new roll out hen boxes are great, the chickens love them, the eggs are much cleaner and there's an extra roost on the box itself. I bought 2, would def recommend this to anyone who's got chickens.

Hengear is a great investment. It is very well built and will last the test of time. I have had mine for almost a year. Way less messy eggs and almost zero broken egg. I have had other roll away nesting boxes but they don’t compare to the HenGear. I definitely recommend it. I plan on replacing my two non HenGear nesting boxes with HenGear. Great product.

Installed two medium boxes. Easy to put together and install. So far some of the hens are already laying in them, this is definitely gonna be better than what I had before. Eggs are clean and no mess in the box.

My hens started laying in it right away! I still have about half (15) that need more training as they were always in a chicken tractor laying on the ground. Im sure they will pick it up soon! Live that the eggs are super clean out of the hen gear!!
