Reversible Design

Our nest boxes offer the ability to mount egg collection trays on either the front or rear side of the nest.

Hinged Back

Access nest box from outside your coop: collect eggs, exclude hens, lift roost bar, and latch optional AutoRoost.

Extended Pad - (NXT V5.2)

All HenGear nest boxes include a brown pad that extends fully into the collecting area, ensuring eggs are kept safe and clean, compared to wire floor designs.

Roost Bar

To keep your nest pad clean, the roost bar can be raised to exclude hens from the box after the eggs have been collected, thus preventing manure build-up from hens sleeping in the box overnight.

Tray Curtain

Our exclusive black curtain provides a barrier between the collection tray and nesting area, safeguarding eggs from determined egg-eating hens.

Privacy Curtain

Our red privacy curtain features five-inch wide cutouts, making entry into the nest simpler compared to older V-cut designs. Additionally, its red color attracts hens, as chickens are drawn to this hue.

Love it! I had a rough go at first switching the girls they did not like it and did some adjustments and they seem to be getting used to it. they love trying to roost on top of it and on the metal box part even if I flip the bar up at night. I wish the roll out part for the eggs was just a little bit deeper for the eggs to roll back I’ve watched a couple hens reach their head under and pull the eggs back and sit on them but over all it’s kept my hens from just sitting in the nesting boxes on eggs and leaving no room for other hens , so I will be definitely adding one more to the coop in the future!

I was very impressed with the packaging of my nest box. I ordered the XL and the box was bulky and heavy and everything arrived in excellent condition. I am unable to comment on how the chickens are taking to it because I don't get my chicks until April 27th. I would like to leave a follow-up review at that time if possible. But otherwise very impressed so far. Looking to order more items when chicks get bigger.

Easy enough to assemble and very well made. Rolled corners provide smooth edges and strong construction. I appreciated the holes cut in the bottom of the boxes to help any debris fall through. Really like that the nesting pad has more openings than our previous similar type pads so they’ll be easier to clean! Assembled in an hour or so. Installed with my three boys helping. We look forward to ending our egg eating problem without culling much of our flock!

Love the design of the nest boxes! We recently purchased 2 of the XL boxes for our 100 hens. And No more dirty or broken eggs!
