All our nest boxes come standard with a hinged Roost-Bar that is raised to exclude hens from sleeping in their nest at night. This ensures your nest box remains sanitary and free of chicken manure that could dirty your eggs. 

However, it is critical that the Roost-Bar gets lowered early the next morning so your hens can start laying. 

But who wants to wake up that early in the morning only to do this simple chore? 

Finally, the daily task of lowering your roost bar can be done automatically with our HenGear AutoRoost Openers. 

How it works:

• Easily mount AutoRoost, Spring & Bracket to your nest box.

• Plug into any standard wall outlet or power with our add-on Solar Panel kit (sold separately)

• Program the desired time you would like your nest box to open in the mornings.

• After collecting eggs for the day, simply raise the Roost Bar to exclude hens overnight - keeping your nest box free of manure.

• Sleep In!
